International & Destination Wedding Photographer
New York City became my home a couple years ago. As I learn to spread my wings in one of the biggest cities in the world, I can't help but feel entirely overwhelmed by the mere fact that I actually live here. Before moving to New York, I lived in Chesapeake, a small town in southern Virginia. Despite living out my earliest years in Washington state and southern California, Chesapeake is where I call home. My friends and family remain there as I embark on the next step of my journey, being a wife and companion to the best man alive. Ben is my constant, my best friend and the one that will always love me no matter how grotesque I may look in the morning. That is why I married him and followed him here to New York City. And if you can't tell by some of my personal posts, I am totally and utterly enamored with my two pups, Penny Lane and Charlotte Maye.
With the love and support of family and friends, near and far, I am driven to nourish the intense feeling of the electric synergy that my camera and I share. The rush that takes over tells me that this is absolutely, without an ounce of hesitation, the plan God has for me. I knew this was the journey He wanted for me when I took my first dark room course in college. Since then, I have challenged myself to create my photography footprint wherever I go. And in this journey, it is my honor to capture someone's personal story, whether it is a wedding, an engagement or just a simple family shoot. Years down the road, it's those memories that keep us all moving forward. The butterflies in your stomach, the tears that fall and the smiles that are made, those are the times you want to remember forever.
As you read this, I hope you have been able to catch a few tidbits of my life and what makes me tick. Whether you live in the city or are just passing through, I hope you hola at your girl so we can nestle in a cozy cafe and sip on a soy milk, light foam, 120 degree, 1 raw sugar latte.
*I swear, the only thing in my life that's complicated is my Starbucks order (although, I'm sure Ben would say otherwise).
